The paper titled “COVID-19 pandemic study: ad-hoc reaction and premeditated transition of project-based product design courses” co-authored by Nikola Vukašinović, Stanko Škec, Maximilian Schramek, Niccolò Becattini and Manfred Grafinger has been accepted at the 9th International Conference on Research into Design ICoRD’23, to be held in Bangalore, India from the 9th to the 11th of January 2023.

This paper examines and compares the ad-hoc reactions of educators in the product development domain to the first wave of the COVID-19 crisis. The aim of this study is to properly understand the difficulties educators struggled with maintaining their education process in a crisis and which practices, new digital tools and educational methods best supported the transition. The data was collected from the representatives of four universities from different European countries that are offering under-graduate and graduate product development courses.

We are looking forward to presenting the CResDET project to a wider international audience and many discussions to gain insights on other crisis related teaching experiences!

The full paper will be available after the conference on the CResDET project website.
